Deheza was established in 2014 to fulfil an unmet need for high-quality, independent, intelligence on opportunities and risks in Latin America for global executives and investors. The business has maintained its strategic focus on the region and today is recognised as one of the leading sources of knowledge on commercial, political, social, and governance issues in Latin America.

Elizabeth Deheza


Elizabeth founded the company in 2014 and has built it into the leading source of strategic intelligence on Latin America. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and German.

Cecilia de Orbegoso

Head of network

Cecilia has over 10 years experience as a buy side equity analyst, treasury analyst and as an investment specialist. She has deep knowledge of Latin American politics, policy and economics.

Rosemary de Arce

Executive assistant

Rosemary joined Deheza in 2020, prior to this, she had an extensive career as an Executive Assistant in various embassies in Bolivia including for the Italian and Korean ambassadors.

Álvaro Correa


Álvaro is one of Latin America's pre-eminent bankers. He spent 24 years at Creditcorp, the largest financial services business in Peru, reaching deputy CEO between 2018 and 2021.

James Knell


James has editorial oversight of our subscription and research products. Fluent in English and Portuguese, James has vast experience of risk and intelligence across the Americas.

Lorena Bolivar Herrera

Senior Associate

Lorena is a lawyer with over 15 years experience in both the public and private sectors. Her expertise includes Latin American politics, mining, energy, infrastructure, human rights and ESG.

Alastair Bryce


Alastair is a senior banker with extensive experience in Asia, LatAm and UK. He spent 30 years at HSBC in Global Banking, Global Markets, Risk Management and as in-country CEO.

David Charters


David is a former diplomat turned investment banker, venture capitalist, author and businessman. Previously, he was a director of SG Warburg Securities and a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank
