Álvaro Correa joins the Deheza Advisory Board
Following a 24 year career at Creditcorp Ltd, Álvaro Correa has joined Deheza’s Advisory Board. Álvaro will contribute to the strategic guidance of the business using his extensive industry experience and deep regional network.
Between 2018 and 2021, Álvaro was deputy CEO of Credicorp Ltd., the largest financial services business in Peru with activities across the Andean region. He also acted as head of the insurance and pensions, investment banking, asset, and wealth management businesses within the group. With a strong interest in ESG, Álvaro was sponsor of the Credicorp Group Sustainability Program and has championed corporate governance improvements for much of his career.
Mr Correa joined Credicorp through BCP, the largest Peruvian bank, in 1997, where he held different management positions in risk and IT. He was formerly CEO of Atlantic Security Bank, Credicorp Securities and BCP Miami. Álvaro holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
